As a socially responsible corporate organization with a good track record of social corporate initiatives,
ITB Nigeria Limited has again demonstrated its commitment to a viable national development by joining the global challenge to combat trafficking in humans. This commendable move came to the fore with the partnership with Sisters of St. Louis (SSL) Lagos, a human trafficking rehabilitation, counselling and re-integration Centre, Iyana Ipaja, Lagos, Nigeria and the Order of Malta.
Sisters of St. Louis Rehabilitation Center now known as BAKHITA is a faith-based, non-governmental organization working in Nigeria to restore the dignity of women through prevention of trafficking in persons, protection, re-integration, and rehabilitation of victims. BAKHITA envisions a Nigerian society
that is free from all forms of enslavement especially trafficking in women and children, where its women and girls are liberated, empowered, and active and rise above cultural nuances that militate against them.
ITB Nigeria Limited shares in the Core Values of BAKHITA which are commitment, respect, compassion, charity, integrity, trustworthiness, truthfulness, collaboration, and partnership with the mercy of God.
ITB Nigeria Limited has ably assisted in the renovation and refurbishment of a two-storey accommodation that can comfortably provide shelter for about twenty-five women at a time.
